Have you practiced the 5/10 rule? If a person is within 10 feet of you, smile. If they are within 5 feet, you say, “Hello.” I have done this for years including a wave when appropriate. The screens and craziness of our ‘to-do’ lists can keep us distracted from beautiful connection with others. Implementing mindful presence and interaction with others will yield wonderful connections that can lift your spirit and brighten your day.
